This two-toned satchel features a contrast of our Charcoal Black and Autumn Tan leathers. This contemporary two-tone Black and Tan combination has been termed throughout history. First used by the United States republican army in the 1870s the term refers to the contrasting and complimentary colours of black and brown skins. Also, in Britian we have a drink called a Black and Tan that is half a pint of Guinness poured on top of half a pint of pale ale or lager that dates back to 1889. On this particular satchel the colour of the main panels of the satchel are cut from our beautiful Charcoal Black leather whilst the trims and fasteners are cut from a contrasting but blending Autumn Tan leather. Our Charcoal Black is a colour which gets it name due to the fact that it is a very similar colour to that of charcoal whilst our Autumn Tan is named because it is the colour of an sycamore leaf that has been exposed to the summer sun after falling and has completely dried out.
